Life can be tough at times. Unfortunate things happen, whether it’s the cost-of-living crisis, natural disasters or illnesses.

But despite all of that, humans don’t give up. People overcome their limitations and step up to create positive change in the world.

We all have the ability to emerge stronger from chaos and create a better society.

Never stop fighting until you arrive at your destined place – that is, the unique you. Have an aim in life, continuously acquire knowledge, work hard, and have perseverance to realise the great life. – A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

Due to a medical condition, Immanuel Mitchel was born without hands. But he was determined to overcome his limitations and live a full life, despite all odds.

Music is his outlet for expressing himself. He has been making music since he was 12 years old.

Through his songs, Immanuel shares his point of view and life lessons, hoping that they can help those with disabilities to feel seen and heard.

“This is like a dream for me because I work hard for this just such a beautiful thing because I get to tell at least one person in the crowd that you’re not alone when they hear my song,” said Immanuel.

Kitten finds a loving forever home in an unexpected way.

Beatrice Sharma’s visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom took a wholesome turn when she met an adorable fuzz-ball in the parking lot. A cast member was holding a kitten that was found under a parked car. The lost little thing was anxious and in need of care.

Beatrice formed an instant bond with the kitten and decided to take him home. She named him Meeko and took him to a cat rescue to get him the necessary medications.

And that’s how Meeko found his forever home!

Beatrice hopes that Meeko’s story will encourage people to get out there and rescue cats in need.

Fitness instructor encourages movement in older adults using everyday items.

Joël Kuisselbrink is a social worker and fitness instructor from the Netherlands.

Joël is on a mission to get older people moving again in a fun way.

He helps elderly residents in care homes stay physically active by using everyday items. He creates exercise routines that match the resident’s interests, and hobbies, which makes it easier for them to follow through.

Joël makes sure that every resident gets adequate exercise, regardless of their fitness or skill level.

These exercises not only improve their movement and coordination but help their mental health as well.

A woman runs a food pantry to give back to her community.

Athena Powell’s makeshift food pantry is supporting the needs of families who do not have access to affordable, nutritious food.

Athena grew up in poverty and often didn’t have enough to eat. Now she has found her purpose in providing food assistance to people in need.

With help from the charity Feed it Forward, Athena delivers fresh produce to hundreds of local families. A network of wonderful volunteers is driving community engagement and providing a sense of security for families in need.

“We’re currently saving about 70,000 kilos of food every week. We’re feeding more than 10,000 directly with the help of up to 700 Community groups”, said Monica Morunga, Founder of Feed it Forward.
