Improving Communication – The End of the Month Motivational Message – February

Improving Communication - The End of the Month Motivational Message - February

Living with intention is all about taking the time to understand what drives your decisions.

Don’t assume you’re stuck where you are.

The habits you’ve fallen into can be broken.

Each day brings with it the chance to make different choices.

Bringing awareness to your responses can help you decide how you want to show up each day.

Work on Letting Go of Assumptions

Living with intention can help you increase self-awareness and build authentic connections with the people in your life.

Let there be no room for misconceptions or assumptions. Assumptions can prevent us from relating to others and exploring new possibilities.

You can’t fully know where someone is coming from until you let go of assumptions and create the space for more understanding.

A safe space will allow both of you to express yourself without fear of judgment.

Slow down and fully immerse yourself in the present moment experience.

This will allow you to say no to the things that aren’t actually serving you. By being more intentional with your attention, you can better manage your thoughts and emotions as they arise.

5 Important Ways You Can Set Healthy Boundaries with Others & Stick to Them

At the beginning of the month, we discussed the importance of improving the clarity of your communication.

You are on a journey of awareness.

As you become more present in everyday moments, you naturally become more aligned to what’s important to you. You become more confident in setting boundaries and saying no to things that drain your energy.

By embracing an intentional lifestyle, you can create room for more clarity and calmness in your life. Instead of reacting impulsively, you take responsibility for your responses and improve communication with the people you care about.

Let your core values guide your choices.

Whether it’s relationships or work, having an intention for every aspect of your life will bring you the outcomes you desire most.

Bring more awareness to the day-to-day choices you make. Take the time to think about what you want to communicate to others.

The practice of living intentionally can:

  • enhance social connection
  • increase our overall sense of well-being
  • foster a sense of contentment

Even the smallest shifts in the way you show up each day can give you greater fulfillment and satisfaction from life.

February 2024 End of the Month Message – Beating Your Inner Critic

When you allow yourself to be a work in progress, you release the pressure to be perfect all the time.

You embrace the idea that even if you make mistakes, it’s not the end of the world – you can bounce back. You always have the chance to improve yourself.

That’s what life is about.

Exploring new possibilities. Reinventing yourself. Seeking learning opportunities. Growing in wisdom.

Life is always changing. You have to be willing to learn new things and adapt as your life changes.

Beating your inner critic: What did you reflect on this month?

At the beginning of the month, we talked about beating our inner critic. As you step into a brand new month, take time to reflect on the progress you’ve made this month.

  • Were there any moments when you felt that your inner critic was too harsh?
  • How did cope with those difficult moments?

It’s important to look within yourself and understand how you respond to your triggers.

Your inner critic puts unrealistic demands on you. It pushes you to always be on top of things and control everything.

You’re exactly where you need to be right now.

What was the first thought that came to your mind as you read this sentence?

Did your inner critic tell you it’s BS?  Perhaps it came up with a whole catalog of arguments to tell you that you’re falling behind, you’re not doing enough and you’ll never achieve what you want.

What do you choose to believe?

Now it’s up to you to decide what you want to believe in.

Do you choose to believe something that brings you peace or do you let yourself be pushed around by your inner critic?

Instead of simply believing everything that comes to your mind, question your thoughts.

No one has it fully figured out. We are all a work in progress.

You’ve had some pretty bad days, but you have also gained a lot of strength over the years.

Give yourself time to uncover the assumptions that you hold about yourself and the world around you. Practice self-awareness to tweak your perspective. You have to train yourself to look at things differently.

Let go of the pressure to live a “perfect life”.

Let go of the desire to conform to the status quo. Embrace your unique identity.

There is space for you to grow. You can try again.

Harness the power of faith.

2023 February End of the Month Motivational Message – Practice Self-Love

Did the month of February treat you well?

Did most of the things go as you had expected?

When things didn’t go as planned, how did you respond?

Our self-talk is most critical when we make mistakes or find ourselves in difficult situations. It’s funny how it’s so much easier to hate yourself than love yourself.

Practice speaking kindly with yourself and letting go of unhelpful beliefs such as “I can’t do anything right” or “bad things keep happening to me”.

Write about all the things you did well this month.

Perhaps you managed to exercise every week. Or maybe tried something out of your comfort zone.

Appreciate yourself for all the efforts you put in towards improving yourself every day. Practice celebrating our own strengths.

Love is an Action

Remember, love is an action.

A healthy dose of self-love gets you through all the ups and downs of life.

Our lives are not perfect. There are times when you’re disappointed with yourself and feel less than your best. But that’s exactly when you need to embrace the power of self-love.

Loving yourself doesn’t always come easy and that’s okay. Love requires effort and patience to thrive.

You’re dealing with the impact of traumatic experiences, your self-doubts, unexpected obstacles in your way, and the uncertainty of the future all at once.

You need to show yourself more kindness when you’re vulnerable.

Building a Foundation of Self-Love

A strong foundation of self-love allows you to build better relationships with others.

Your relationship with yourself largely impacts how you relate to others. Show up for yourself and take responsibility for your happiness.

No matter what happens, you need to take care of yourself and protect your peace.

You are worthy of being happy.
