Building Healthy Habits - End of the Month Motivational Message | May

Habits are repeated behaviors.

Deliberate repetition is key to making a new habit stick.

We all want to make positive changes in our lives. Yet we find it so difficult to create new habits and stick to them. Due to our busy lives, we end up diverting our energy to habits that aren’t actually good for us.

Our intention to change is overpowered by limiting beliefs and environmental factors.

It’s important to focus on progress, no matter how small. Celebrate every small step in the right direction.

Give yourself grace when you find yourself slipping back into old habits. You’re going to get better results by gently acknowledging why you slipped up and identifying opportunities to make the journey more manageable instead of punishing yourself.

Building healthy habits looks different for everyone.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to building healthy habits.

Try out different strategies to find the one that suits you best.

You’re going to make mistakes – and that’s OK!

It’s easier to be consistent when the task is small and doable.

Give yourself permission to make mistakes. You don’t have to give your 100% every day. Focus on slow progress.

Wanting to fix everything at once or expecting yourself to be perfect is unsustainable!

Let go of beliefs that tell you that you need to be perfect at what you do or else it’s not even worth trying.

The small, yet imperfect actions will snowball into bigger, more positive outcomes. In a few months, you will start feeling like a different person!

Stay focused on when you feel good…

Our habits improve our ability to achieve balance, feel secure, and adapt to changes in our lives.

Keep focusing more on positive emotions such as peace, gratitude, and love. Connect to your inner self and find your center when the journey feels too difficult.

Direct your energy towards habits that support your goals and set you up for success.

Observe your inner dialogue when you find yourself experiencing a moment of weakness. “I am not strong enough for this” and “I don’t think I can do this every day” It’s in these moments that you can pinpoint the beliefs that prevent you from sticking to healthy habits.

By getting to the root of what caused you to fall off track, you can train yourself to respond in a better way.

You can strengthen your ability to make difficult, yet positive choices.

2023 May End of the Month Motivational Message – Journaling

We’re almost halfway through the year.

It is a good time to reflect on what you’ve been doing.

Daily Journaling

  • Were you able to journal every single day?
  • Did you find any changes in the way you process your feelings?

It’s okay if most of what you write isn’t cohesive.

The act of simply sitting down and writing in a quiet place can work wonders for your mental well-being.

Don’t pressure yourself to write about new topics every time you sit down to journal.

It’s okay to write about something you’ve already written before. Write about whatever has been bothering you and let it out fully.

Make your journal your safe space, where you allow yourself to uncover your deepest thoughts.

Release your frustrations so you can move forward feeling lighter.  Allow fresh insights to come to you.

It’s never too late to start the habit.
