Support can come in many forms and from many sources. Sometimes it comes from the people we love, and other times it comes from strangers in unexpected yet deeply profound ways.

Every moment of kindness has the power to lift our spirits and help us keep moving forward.

Prospect Park in Sterling Ranch, Colorado, is a fully inclusive playground designed for children of all ages and abilities.

The park began as the vision of Jeanette Reynolds, whose daughter Madison was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition. Since Madison used a wheelchair, her family often struggled to find creative play opportunities for her.

After Madison’s passing in 2018, Jeanette made it her mission to build an inclusive playground for children with special needs.

In Madison’s honor, the nonprofit Miles 4 Madison was created. It provides recreational opportunities for individuals with special needs.

“We learn that we all live together and that we’re all one people, no matter what our physical abilities are,” said Lynn Moffett, Douglas County Parks Advisory Board Member.
